The php.ini file is the default configuration file for running applications that require PHP. It is used to control variables such as upload file’s size, timeouts, and resource limits.
Note: we recommend using our default php.ini file, which includes default php settings.
To copy our default php.ini file the following steps should be performed:
- log into your cPanel;
- navigate to “Tweak php.ini” icon;
- click “Copy”;
This will place our default php.ini file in your document root directory. If you had no php.ini there previously the corresponding file will be created, if you had custom php.ini file it will be overwritten.
To modify the newly created file simply click on “Modify” button right below in the same menu and change the required parameter.
You can also find this php.ini in File Manager -> public_html folder
To modify it, locate the file and click “Code Editor”
Add your changes and hit “Save Changes” button after modification.
Once the modifications are completed, you should add SuPHP configuration directive to .htaccess file if you want to enable php.ini changes for the account on a global level.
